Academic Scholarship Award Program

The Joliet Area/South Suburban Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is pleased to announce our annual Academic Scholarship Award Program. This scholarship award is designed to identify and provide financial assistance to students aspiring to further their education. For over 40 years, JASSAC has been dedicated to the educational development of high school students. In the last ten years, we have awarded scholarships totaling over $160,000 to graduating high school seniors. 

Each student selected by the Scholarship Committee will receive a scholarship no less than $1,000. In order for a student to be eligible, they must be enrolled in a high school in a "604" or "608" South Suburban zip code. The student must also be a graduating senior and have a minimum of a 2.75 grade point average on a 4.0 scale (3.75 grade point average on a 5.0 scale).

The Community Scholarship application is available January - March, annually.

The JASSAC Memorial Scholarship is available December - February, annually. ​
